Description

The AWS Customer References team is seeking an experienced communications
manager to craft engaging customer stories that educate audiences and influence
the awareness, adoption, and usage of AWS services. The ideal candidate is
passionate about cloud technology, excels at translating technical subject
matter into compelling narratives, and coaches speakers to present themselves
and their companies in the best light possible.
Key job responsibilities
Partner with AWS sales, marketing, and leadership teams to source, vet, and
approve customer speakers for high-profile events and activations.
Collaborate with customers to translate their use cases into compelling stories
that highlight how AWS enables business transformation and drives customer
success.
Coach customer speakers on effective presentation delivery for flagship events.
Manage agency resources to develop creative visuals that support and enhance
each customer's story.
Lead the concurrent development of multiple customer stories across various
events and timelines.
Travel approximately 25% of the time to support event execution and customer
engagement.
About the team
The AWS Customer References team supports the vetting, selection, and
preparation of customer speakers for inclusion in AWS keynotes at events such as
AWS re:Invent, Global Summits, and internal meetings. To support AWS main stage
keynote opportunities, the team provides guidance on content development and
delivers speaker coaching for both AWS executives and customer speakers.

Basic Qualifications: - 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing
experience
- 7+ years of developing and managing acquisition marketing or channel programs
experience
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
- Experience developing and executing campaigns across a multitude of timezones
